Mena
Hillside Cabins are located just 12 miles east
of Mena, Arkansas. Each cabin is situated high on a
hillside overlooking beautiful Heath Valley. The
uphill cabin property borders the Ouachita National
Forest. You can hike directly into the forest area.
Get up early and enjoy the sun creeping over the
mountain while sipping hot coffee on the front porch
swing. Or jump on your ATV and ride down to the Wolf
Pen Gap ATV recreation area. The miles of trails are both
easy and difficult, and clearly marked. The trails are
maintained and patrolled by the Ouachita National
Forest personnel. Wonderful scenery, trails and
wildlife are all to be enjoyed by the whole family.
As you arrive in the spring enjoy the beautiful
views from the Talimena Scenic Drive to Rich
Mountain.
Have an unforgettable lunch at Queen Wilimena Lodge
and take part in the attractions there such as local
wildlife and petting zoo, and a miniature railroad
encircling the mountain top, just to name a few.
Arrive in the summer and enjoy the many outdoor
activities available close by. Swim in the Big Blue
Hole. Hike, mountain bike, ride your ATV, fish, or
just lounge around the cabin taking advantage of the
quite solitude.
Arrive in the fall and soak in the vivid beauty of
multi-colored leaves as they welcome the arrival of
winter. Drive into Mena and shop the many antique
stores. Be sure to visit the museum in the old
railway station.
If winter is your preference, you just might find a
dusting of white coating the hills and valleys.
Whatever your preference, your are always welcome at
Mena Hillside Cabins. We are open year around
and hunters are welcome during season.
